Evidence & current status
Explicit Solus-LR rename verified. Product-page mass and depth contradictions remain visible; the trial is supplier-reported.
Envoy is the current name Cellula gives to its Solus-LR platform. That explicit manufacturer identification allows the two names to share a record without double-counting the vehicle. The design is offered with either rechargeable batteries or a hydrogen fuel cell, and with interchangeable survey payloads.
The most concrete recent performance evidence is Cellula's April 2026 account of a fuel-cell demonstration: 2,023 kilometres travelled while submerged over 385 hours. This is a reported trial result for one configuration, rather than a guarantee for every payload, depth or environment. The company also describes continuing development with Defence Research and Development Canada, linking the platform to defence-funded research without implying a completed naval fleet acceptance.
The current product page contains inconsistent headline and tabulated mass and depth information. The specification rows here use the explicitly labelled fuel-cell table and expose that discrepancy. Battery configurations are separately identified and do not inherit the demonstration result. These distinctions matter when comparing Envoy with larger Guardian vehicles or older Solus literature, where similar fuel-cell language can otherwise obscure differences in hull, payload and programme maturity.
