Evidence & current status

Named Dutch military use is independently documented. Operator-specific dimensions and mass are separated from current supplier performance; the complete named operator list remains undisclosed.

EOS C VTOL is Threod Systems' electric reconnaissance aircraft combining fixed-wing cruise with vertical take-off and landing. Its integrated mission system includes the company's eOpic-5 imaging payload, a ground control station and configurable data terminals. The supplier presents it for military, border-security and police applications.

Threod states that the aircraft is used by multiple armed forces, including seven NATO members and Ukraine. That is a useful supplier disclosure, but the product page does not give a complete named operator list or fleet-by-fleet configuration. A Dutch Defence account dated 20 May 2025 independently identifies use by 42 Pantserinfanteriebataljon Limburgse Jagers. This establishes a named operator without implying that the worldwide inventory is complete.

The public technical table distinguishes a 50 km line-of-sight communication range from a maximum distance of 190 km. These figures describe different things and are retained separately. Similarly, advertised endurance and ceiling depend on the operating configuration. The website makes broad statements about observability and resilience; this catalogue records navigation and communications at a general level without converting marketing language into a guarantee of undetectability or immunity to interference.

The Dutch account supplies a fourteen-kilogram aircraft weight and overall dimensions. Its local height and duration descriptions differ from the current manufacturer maxima, and the article contains inconsistent battery/duration wording. Those figures are not silently reconciled into one configuration. Threod’s company timeline separately records initial EOS C deliveries in 2020 and more than one hundred delivered by 2023; those remain historical supplier totals.

Publication history

  • — Added an independent named operator and previously missing mass/dimensions, preserving configuration uncertainty.
  • — Added a sourced global catalogue profile with configuration-specific data and explicit evidence limits.
