Evidence & current status
Operator use is directly documented by the Brazilian Navy. Manufacturer communications figures differ; unsupported numeric specifications are left open.
FT-100 Horus is a small Brazilian reconnaissance system developed by FT Sistemas, also known as Flight Technologies. The manufacturer describes an electrically powered aircraft carrying imaging or mapping sensors, with a ground control station and communications equipment. Its military and civil roles include local observation, mapping and information collection.
The Brazilian Navy’s account of a 2019 training activity identifies the Marine Corps’ Horus FT-100 and its connection to a remote video terminal. This provides direct operator evidence rather than relying only on a supplier’s product page. A Brazilian Ministry of Defence product register separately lists FT-100 under Flight Technologies.
The manufacturer’s page gives different communications descriptions: one section refers to twenty kilometres and another to twenty-seven kilometres. The sources reviewed do not explain the relevant radio or antenna configurations, so the catalogue retains that discrepancy rather than presenting a single guaranteed radius. The same page does not supply a full set of mass, endurance and dimensions. Numbers from secondary summaries have therefore not been promoted to manufacturer specifications. Present fleet size and upgrade status remain additional research questions.
