Evidence & current status
2026 corporate reporting corroborates a framework agreement; delivery and operational acceptance are separate questions.
FV-014 is Rheinmetall's own electric loitering-munition programme, distinct from the HERO products that appear elsewhere in its portfolio. The June 2026 supplier update describes the aircraft baseline and refers to a German framework contract. The company's August half-year report independently confirms that it secured an FV-014 framework agreement for the Bundeswehr during the first half of 2026.
A framework agreement supports the order or production-commitment classification. It does not show that every possible quantity has been called off, delivered or accepted by an operational unit. Demonstrations likewise support technical progress without establishing a deployed fleet.
The profile separates total advertised range from datalink reach and retains the source configuration. Industrial scale-up claims are treated as plans or supplier statements. Public technical fields are limited to general vehicle characteristics; unverified customer-specific equipment and production quantities remain open.
