Evidence & current status
Configuration and acceptance claims are kept separate from wider family marketing.
MuMNS is the compact reusable underwater vehicle in Saab's Double Eagle mine-countermeasure portfolio. It operates as part of a wider system that includes a tether, surface control equipment and launch-and-recovery hardware. This distinguishes the vehicle from expendable mine-disposal devices and from survey AUVs that execute an untethered route.
Its public programme relevance comes from the French and British maritime mine-countermeasure effort. Saab identifies the two navies in its programme material, while the exact acceptance state of each host vessel and complete mission package requires separate evidence. Delivery of one component does not automatically mean that an entire naval capability is operational.
The published dimensions and depth rating describe MuMNS itself, not the larger Double Eagle SAROV or the deeper-rated MDS. Integration with uncrewed surface craft makes it a useful example of one robotic platform carrying and supporting another. The catalogue records this system relationship and the reusable vehicle's high-level characteristics; it does not treat the payload's disposal sequence as part of a general technical profile.
