Evidence & current status
Supplier forecast of September 2026 delivery is not treated as proof of completed delivery.
Terra B1 is a Japanese interceptor drone selected through the Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency's domestic procurement effort. ATLA records an evaluation of four models between July and August 2026 and a production contract with Terra Drone on 25 August. This provides an official acquisition milestone rather than a supplier-only product announcement.
Terra Drone describes B1 as made in Japan and identifies the Maritime Self-Defense Force as the initial customer. Its release forecast deliveries beginning in September. A forecast is not a delivery receipt, so the current record remains an order and production commitment until an acceptance statement is available.
Publicly accessible material reviewed for this entry does not establish a complete airframe performance sheet or a final mission-equipment configuration. The aircraft therefore receives no guessed payload, endurance or range. Corporate acquisitions and international partnerships are also not used to infer the origin of the B1 design: the cited product-specific manufacturing statement supports Japan, while additional origin attribution would require separate evidence.
