ARX Robotics and General Dynamics Land Systems-UK announced a collaboration on 16 September to explore linking Hector uncrewed ground vehicles with Ajax. The initial work concerns command and control of robotic companions for reconnaissance, protection and combat-related roles.
The companies also intend to examine manufacturing and integration opportunities at GDLS-UK’s South Wales facilities.
What remains prospective
This is an industrial collaboration announcement. It does not establish a British Army procurement award, a delivery schedule or an accepted operational Ajax–Hector capability. Its significance is the proposed connection between an existing crewed platform and a developing robotic system.
