Ukraine's Ministry of Defence reported on 29 September that service members of a separate mechanized brigade completed what it describes as their first logistics mission with a Ukrainian-developed amphibious unmanned ground vehicle. According to the ministry, the vehicle traveled more than 40 km over land and water to deliver provisions and ammunition to positions. The ministry did not identify the brigade, the vehicle model, the route or the share of the distance covered afloat.
The relevance is the transition between terrain types. Rivers, canals and marshes can interrupt routes that conventional ground robots can use, while aerial resupply has different payload and exposure limits. The ministry says this vehicle was refined over several months with military users and received development grant support from the Brave1 innovation cluster. Its report describes a completed mission, not a general specification for speed, payload, range or autonomous navigation.
What the report does and does not establish
This is a Ukrainian government account of a field mission. It is stronger evidence of practical use than a showroom unveiling, but it does not establish serial production, fleet-wide adoption or an independent assessment of repeatability under different conditions. No manufacturer or named system was disclosed, so the event cannot yet be linked confidently to a particular library profile.
Follow-up evidence could identify the platform and operator, report repeated missions and explain its maintenance and communications needs. Those details will show whether the crossing capability can become a dependable logistics service rather than a single successful mission.
