How to understand it
Aircraft systems need ways to exchange commands, status and mission information. Different communication paths offer different coverage and capacity. Encryption protects information in transit, but it does not by itself guarantee that a link will remain available or that every mission product can be sent immediately.
What to look for in the evidence
- Distinguish the control link from the transfer of high-volume sensor information.
- Keep security, availability and capacity separate when reading marketing descriptions.
- Check which communication equipment belongs to the specific configuration being discussed.
